The article presents the results of author's research on lost roofs in Munich. Together with buildings significant roof structures were destroyed Second World War. Munich always played a central role Bavaria. importance city grew continuously over centuries. Talented master builders met demanding clients. This resulted prestigious that also terms construction technology. study highlighted most important objects. aim was to reconstruct these basis archival sources and building archaeological remains. show great variety, reflecting current developments construction. Among them there are quite experimental solutions. presented as detailed scale models. models allow get lasting impression structures. They serve illustrate this essay. Finally, special attention is given some constructions have link italian designs.
